Meet our Superior Attorney John Kopas III
John Kopas III has more than 30 years of experience, serving Uniontown area residents since 1989. He was born and raised in Fairchance, and is a 1985 graduate from IUP with a degree in criminology. Kopas went on to graduate from the Ohio Northern University School of Law.
Attorney Kopas opened his private practice, and served as an Assistant District Attorney in Fayette County. During his 15 years in public service, he tried over 250 jury trials as a prosecutor under criminal law.
Attorney Kopas has had a Pennsylvania Bar certification since 1988. He can also help you on the U.S. District Court level. He is currently the President-Elect of the Fayette County Bar Association, and will begin that position in 2023.
John is proud to serve his community in a variety of ways. He was a long-time member of the Albert Gallatin School Board. He was also a prior cub master, and chair of the Heart Association Heart Walk. Kopas also serves as a board member for the Fayette County Association for the Blind and PA Cleanways. His wife, Jennifer, is a kindergarten teacher. They have two sons – one of which is a paratrooper and the other is an airline pilot.
